Drugs Will Kill You!

Joining a Long List of Dead Drug Abusers

If it turns out that Whitney Houston died as a result of her drug abuse problem, she will join a long list of talented celebrities who threw their lives away playing this deadly game.  What a tragic ending for someone with such an incredible voice and who brought enjoyment to so many people throughout the world.  For many, it takes just one instance of trying drugs to get hopelessly ‘hooked’…a good reason to never try them in the first place.  Yet there are some individuals in our country who still want to legalize drugs.  These proponents of the philosophy ‘if it feels good, do it’ have perpetrated a hoax on an unwary citizenry by starting with so called ‘medical’ marijuana.  What a joke!  Marijuana does nothing that already available medicines can’t do!

A Heavy Price to Pay

The foolish proponents of legalizing drugs, like Ron Paul, Tony Bennett and Jerry Brown, ignore the heavy price abusers pay in health related problems such as HIV, chronic hepatitis C and fatal heart events induced by drugs.  And how about the effects of drug abuse on developing young minds or the many patients in burn wards because of burns sustained from trying to make methamphetamine?  It has been estimated that up to one third of patients in burn wards in major US hospitals in the South, Midwest and West are there for that reason, at a cost of $6,000 per day!  And what about all the accidents and shooting deaths directly attributable to drug abuse!  For all these reasons and many more, we must stand firm and never legalize these life destroying drugs.

Dead Celebrities Who Reportedly Used Drugs

The following partial list of celebrities who used drugs and died at an early age is but a microcosm (see WOW) of the tragically large number of young people in our country who receive an early visit from the grim reaper.  Remember, you get only one chance at life.  And you’re a long time dead!
