Biden at the Oscars

Vice President Joe Biden at the Academy Awards Ceremony

It should come as no surprise that Vice President Joe Biden would be an active participant in the Academy Awards Ceremony this year. After all, the Socialist Party (formerly known as the Democratic Party) owns Hollywood or is it the other way around. It should also come as no surprise that Vice President Biden would have to make an impassioned plea for college ‘kids’ to stop sexually assaulting one another.

This is exactly the kind of behavior you might expect from children who were encouraged to ‘act transgender’ in kindergarten and taught sex education throughout elementary school by the abortion promoters of Planned Parenthood. And it doesn’t help the moral fabric of our society when the American Academy of Pediatrics (once a respected medical association, now a political action committee) encourages health care providers to prescribe birth control pills and provide condoms to tweens and teens. This only legitimizes sexual promiscuity and misconduct.

Now that the Supreme Court has legislated that marriage can be between any two or more living creatures, they have essentially put the government’s stamp of approval on this kind of behavior. None of us should be surprised, then, when children subjected to these negative influences grow up to be brats who sexually assault one another when they get to college. All of this reinforces the importance of getting your children out of public schools any way you can and reaffirms the admonition to not waste time and money on college!

Tim Weiner, the Last Nixon Basher

Bashing Nixon

Tim Weiner joins a dwindling list of Nixon bashers with his new book, One Man against the World, purporting to advance new information about our 37th President.  While the rest of the world has come to realize that Richard Nixon was one of the most important presidents of the 20th Century, Weiner makes the preposterous assertion that Nixon was a suicidal drunk who left the country unattended during his last years in office.

Not a Quitter

Anyone who has seriously studied Nixon and his presidency knows that above all, he was not a quitter.  Nixon’s life and career were a series of mountains and valleys and even in the depths of despair, he always rose to the challenge of climbing the next hill.  For such a man, resigning the presidency must have been the most difficult thing imaginable, yet he did it for the country he loved and served so well.  In so doing, he spared us from a long, drawn out battle, which he knew he could not win.  The overwhelming combined forces of the liberal media and a liberal Congress had been out to get him from day one.  Despite having the odds stacked against him, suicide would have been out of the question for a man like Nixon and he would never have been derelict in his duties as president.

Last True Statesman

Perhaps Mr. Weiner can be forgiven for his distorted view of a great American president.  After all, he has been a reporter for the New York Times, a flagging tabloid known principally for its liberal bias.  In addition, he is a graduate of Columbia University, one of the most liberal institutions in the country.  We are happy to see that at least Tim pronounces his last name according to the correct grammatical rules as in ‘whiner’, unlike the infamous Anthony Weiner who pronounces it as in ‘hotdog’.  All that notwithstanding, thoughtful students of U.S. history will continue to regard Richard Nixon as one of the last true statesmen and one of the two best presidents of the past one hundred years.

Presdient Richard M. Nixon

Nixon Was One of Our Greatest Presidents

President Nixon Was One of Our Greatest Presidents

Forty years ago today President Richard M. Nixon resigned the office of the presidency, becoming the first and only president in U.S. history to do so.  Many today might wonder how this could have happened when the absolute worst president ever currently occupies the White House with impunity.  The explanation is actually quite simple.  In the early 1970s, both the Senate and the House of Representatives were packed with liberal Democrats who could only be described as pathological ‘Nixon haters’.  Couple that with the fact that there were no balanced news networks like Fox back then, only the three liberal networks, ABC, CBS and NBC.  With left-wing news anchors like Dan Rather and Walter Cronkite spewing their venom every evening for more than a year, the American people were slowly brainwashed into believing that President Nixon had done something horrible.  There is simply no other explanation for how a president who was re-elected by one of the largest landslides in history could fall so far in just two years.  Rather than drag the country he loved through a divisive impeachment battle, President Nixon had the decency to resign, even though he knew he had done nothing to deserve being impeached.

What Might Have Been

One has to wonder how much better the world would be today if this great statesman had served out the remaining years of his second term.  Vietnam would now be a democracy.  The horrors of ‘the killing fields’ of Cambodia might have been prevented.  President Nixon’s ‘war on cancer’ would have had the chance to fully blossom, potentially saving many lives throughout the world.  The possibilities are endless, but, alas, all of this was quashed by a group of partisan politicians and liberal newsmen.  In the end, President Nixon did nothing worse than any other president.  Perhaps his greatest failing was that he misled the American people to protect some of his staff members.  Contrast that with Impeached President Bill Clinton who lied under oath to protect himself!  Forty years after the fact, President Richard M. Nixon is now regarded as one of our greatest presidents and I am proud to say that I have known that all along.  We could sure use a good man like him now!

Congratulations Saint John Paul II

Saint John Paul II

We are delighted to learn of the recent canonization of one of the greatest leaders of the Twentieth Century, Pope John Paul II.  Together with President Ronald Reagan and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, Pope John Paul brought about the dissolution of the Soviet Union, freeing millions of people from the yoke of communism, including those in his own native Poland.  All this was achieved without bloodshed by three great leaders united in their belief that all people should live in freedom and steadfast in their determination to end the scourge of Soviet communism once and for all.  Congratulations, Saint John Paul II!
